Redmi Note 7 Pro is set to arrive in China with "more surprises" than its launch in India, as revealed on Weibo by Redmi General Manager Lu Weibing. The Redmi Note 7 Pro launch in China will take place on March 18. This is particularly only a few days after the Redmi Note 7 Pro's first sale in India scheduled for March 13. Before the formal announcement, Weibo's official invite shows the back of the new Redmi Note model that seems to have a dual rear camera setup along with an LED flash and a traditional fingerprint sensor-similar to its India counterpart.

First in the development series is Weibo's post that teases some "more surprises" about the Redmi Note 7 Pro's China variant over its India model. The executive has not revealed what the surprises are. However, he showed an image comparing Redmi Note 7 Pro with Redmi Note 7, highlighting advances such as Snapdragon 675 SoC, 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 primary camera sensor, 6 GB RAM, 128 GB storage, and P21i water resistance nano-coating on the latter.

The official Weibo Redmi account posted an official invitation separately on Friday confirming the launch of the Redmi Note 7 Pro in China. The invite shows the phone will be making its debut in China on March 18 at 2 pm CST (11:30pm IST). It also highlights the back of the Redmi Note 7 Pro, which features a dual rear camera setup with LED flash and a fingerprint sensor.

Importantly, in the recent past, a TENAA listing of a suspicious Xiaomi phone has emerged with model number M1901F7BE which is believed to belong to Redmi Note 7 Pro. The listing also confirmed some of the model's key specifications, including the design of a waterdrop display notch and dual rear camera setup.

It's hard to assume how Xiaomi distinguished the Redmi Note 7 Pro's China variant from its India model. However, it should be noted here that in January this year, the company unveiled the Redmi Note 7 in China. On Thursday, with a starting price of Rs. 13,999, Xiaomi launched Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro in India. In terms of having a 12-megapixel primary sensor instead of a 48-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL GM-1 sensor, the Indian variant of the Redmi Note 7 is significantly different from its China model. Instead of three options available in China, India model also has two storage options.

In contrast, the Redmi Note 7 Pro comes with the primary Sony camera sensor and the all-new Snapdragon SoC as a new model over the Redmi Note 7's China variant.
